Tonight I read with interest about how Rob Oakeshott and Tony Abbott have “kissed and made up” following a seven month snub by the NSW North Coast Independent.
Prior to the NSW Election, Oakeshott and the opposition met and had regular discussions however following campaigning by the Coalition in his seat as part of the NSW state election in March, Oakeshott stopped meeting with the opposition. In his interview with Sky News, Mr Oakeshott said “I believe in relationships that are fair dinkum. My view is there was honey being dripped all over me in Canberra and then vinegar being poured on me in the electorate by the coalition.”
With every comment, Mr Oakeshott comes across dumber than he did the day before and shows that he is prone to have a tantrum because he couldn’t get his own way. The Coalition had every right to campaign in his electorate for a seat in the state parliament. If they happened to of mentioned Oakeshott and his deal with Gillard in their campaigning then so be it. Oakeshott is elected by the people and is accountable to the people. The people should be allowed to scrutinise his actions.
It looks as though Oakeshott is nothing but a sook.
